Dataran Pahlawan Shopping Mall

A joint venture project between Kumpulan Melaka Berhad (a Government-owned subsidiary company of Melaka State). The plan was based on a similar concept to the Merdeka Square project in Kuala Lumpur. It involves the development of a single commercial floor sub basement with a monument square over a 12-acre site in the centre of Melaka town.

A lease of 89 years of the said property was given by the state to the AM-EL Group. However, in the middle of construction, AM-EL Group brokered a Strategic Land sales to Lianbang Ventures Sdn Bhd (a Singaporean subsidiary company) through a private offer.
